Avens

Aven are a sentient bird like species living in south east Onaria, they split off from the Drac line sometime before Dragons and Dracilians became separate species, migrating southward to settle on the southern coast.  Aven have a reputation for begin incredibly hostile to all other species, maintaining strict isolation and putting to death any trespasser on their lands.  All contact with the species is done by Ambassadors who are a high status class in Aven society. 

Aven have a highly centralized Empire with a Matriarchal line that has ruled for thousands of years.  The royal family is always attempting to further their power and territory by any means necessary, meaning any dealings with the Avens are treated with extreme caution as they consistently act with duplicitous intent.  Extremely secretive, most can only guess as to the machinations of the Avens, seen occasionally in great flocks flying here and there on unknown missions for their Empress.
