Humans

Related to Elves, Humas evolved from Elvish colonists on the land of Demerion.  Eventually over 10,000 years the colonists became Human.  During the Golden Age of Demerion, Human civilization was at its peak on the continent and sent out many colony ships to the south continent of Onaria.

However prosperity was short lived as political instability in the fracturing empire at home and military disaster in the colony of southern Onaria cut the old empire apart and ended the Demerion Golden Age.  Humans survived in the south of Onaria as a series of isolated kingdoms, at war with each other and with the variety of enemies encroaching from all sides, the unpredictable hoards of Centaur raiding parties, the mindless systematic advance of the horrifying Myrmidon ant people, the cold and ruthless cruelty of the Aven Empire. 

Despite all the odds Humanity clung to a foothold and eventually migrated by ship to the North, routing around the massive swamp dividing the continent in half.  In the North they were welcomed as allies by the Elves, Smithkin and Dracilians, Settling in the uninhabited plains of Aineerdell.
